Perplexity has launched a new AI tool that significantly simplifies the search for patents. No more fiddling with complicated keywords! Now, you can use entire sentences to find relevant patents. Just ask: „Are there patents for AI language learning systems?“ and voilà – the appropriate results, along with AI-generated summaries, are available to you.
Beyond Traditional Keyword Search
But the tool can do even more. It goes beyond traditional keyword search and also finds related terms. For example, if you search for „fitness tracker,“ it will also show you patents for „pedometer watches“ or „health monitoring watches.“ This way, you won’t miss any relevant patents that might be known by another name. Additionally, the tool has the ability to search through scientific papers and other sources for existing ideas, also known as Prior Art.
