Opera hat mit Neon einen innovativen Browser vorgestellt, der KI-Integration und Datenschutz vereint.
In Kürze
- Neon nutzt einen KI-Agenten für intelligente Aufgaben.
- Privatsphäre durch lokale Verarbeitung der Daten.
- Zwei Modi für optimiertes Browsing: ‚Do‘ und ‚Make‘.
Opera’s New Browser „Neon“
Opera has launched a new browser called „Neon“ that is bringing a fresh breeze into the digital landscape. What makes Neon special is the integration of an AI agent that not only recognizes your intentions but also independently completes tasks for you. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? The highlight: Many of these tasks are executed directly on your device, protecting your privacy. For tasks that require more computing power, AI agents in the cloud are available – all within Europe. For instance, you can create games or reports during your offline time.
Exciting Modes of Neon
Neon offers two exciting modes: the „Do“ mode, which understands and analyzes websites, and the „Make“ mode, which functions even without an internet connection. Instead of relying on simple screenshots, Neon uses a special technique to interpret websites through the Document-Object-Model (DOM). This allows for deeper interaction with the content and makes browsing more efficient.
Access and Availability
Currently, Neon is accessible only through a waiting list and is offered as a paid premium service. Interestingly, Opera had already released a browser named Neon in 2016, and many of the elements introduced back then are now found in this new version. Other major players like Google and OpenAI are also showing interest in similar AI-driven browser projects. It remains exciting to see how this area will continue to develop!
